Before the start of the 2017-2018 NBA season I was blessed to receive Golden State Warriors season tickets as a birthday gift from a close friend of mine, my friend also informed me that my wife and I will be receiving season tickets for the Warriors first season in San Francisco. As the 2017-2018 season began to wind down I can recall myself saying, “I can’t wait to get to The City next year, this arena sucks! The arena seats are too tight, the bathrooms are too far, and it feels as if you are running an obstacle course in route to relieve yourself. The parking is as far as the eyes can see, you have to catch a bus from your vehicle to get to the arena, and you better eat before you come, for the tiresome obstacle course awaits! I cannot wait until next season in San Francisco.”

Review of new stadium….
The stadium is beautiful, the seats are comfortable and spacious, plus they recline. There are bathrooms around every corner and parking is just a stones throw away, they even bring your food to you. Honestly, it is a life changing experience!”
The stadium was beautiful, but the people within it were nothing more than stiff necks who liked to sip wine and make business deals, the new stadium is just an after hour spot for those who could afford it. The view from my handicap seat was breathtaking, but it could not of been any more boring, for there was no one sitting next to me. I had plenty of room, but I was all alone, and to be honest with you, I missed the rowdy ones. Although I did not have to stretch before I left to relieve myself, I did miss that feeling of not knowing when to leave, or trying to figure out what course of action should I take to reach my destination. If I leave now, will I make it back by the start of the fourth quarter? I was part of the game, I was in the moment! The proximity of the car was a nice touch, but one can get lazy when one does not have to work for something. During many games I had to retrieve items that I left in my car because of its close proximity, when I was in Oakland I had to take all of my possessions with me to the arena, my pills, my jacket, my hat, my phone, my thoughts and my dreams. I don’t even want to talk about the food and beverages, I do not think that I can afford to, they might send me a bill for doing so. One bottle of wine cost $350.00 dollars, I did not even stay long enough to see what the other menu items cost. I guess that is why they have the food and alcohol beverage stations so close, so one can splurge on costly items in a timely manner.
As the season rolled on thoughts from my past began to haunt me…..
“I can’t wait to get to San Francisco?”
“This stadium is raggedy!”
“These people are loud and rowdy!”
“These seats are tight!”
“The bathrooms are far!”
“This parking sucks!”
“You better eat before you come!”
“I can’t wait to get to San Francisco!”
“These bargain rate seats suck!”
