Growth- something that has grown, or is growing.

Together- companionship or close proximity.

Before two people come together to form a union with the intent of growing together for the duration of their lives here on earth, there should be a conversation concerning the disparities that may exist, or that can develop from one being independent, to one sharing that independence with someone other than ones own self. My wife likes to fly, she enjoys traveling and exploring the world, and I do not, for my fear of flying has grounded me. I enjoy the comfort and the security that our home provides, for the chances of me falling 10,000ft from my bed is slim to none. Although they do say stranger things have happened, I’ll take my chances rolling over in bed and falling 2ft, rather than rolling over in an airplane and falling 10,000. Fear, an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. With that said, there are times when we are not as one, for my fear of flying keeps us apart and at a disadvantage as it pertains to our growth and togetherness. With the Lord now in my life I no longer fear the thought of taking flight, for He has taken my fear……

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.”

John 14:27

I asked the Lord to take my fear, so as of today my bags are packed! I will be no longer be in need of the company that fear provides while my wife and I are apart, for she will now be the company that I keep when we are away. I thank you Lord for answering my cries, for the time has come for us to take flight.

“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from my fears.”

Psalm 34:4
