Lord as I begin my day I would like to thank You for allowing me to rise, for I know that there are many who did not receive this blessing. Lord times are difficult down below, for there are many who do not believe in You or Your word, Lord they need You, I need You, we need You. Lord I must tell You my whole truth and nothing but my whole truth. Lord there are times when I lose sight of Your Holy Scriptures, I cannot see them, I am blind, for the world sneaks up behind me and its hands cover my eyes. Lord with You now in my life I can see things clearly, but when I roam unguarded without You in this unholy world Your words of truth become blurry, for at times I stray too far. Lord as I carry this heavy load of faithlessness my hands begin to weaken and my feeble knees will soon buckle, for the weight of this unholy world is too much for me to carry on my own. Lord I am weak without You, and although my weakness is having its way with me I will continue to pray, for “You have instructed many, and You have strengthened weak hands.Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, and You have made firm the feeble knees.” (Job 4:3-4) Lord I need You as a constant in my life, and I do know that it is me who leaves You and not You who leaves me, for You have told me to “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with You; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”(Deuteronomy 31:6) Lord I want to thank You for Your Holy Scriptures and for hearing my truth, for my truth will tell You no lies.
