From my darkness to Your Light, I can now see the road that lies ahead, I am blessed, thanks I give. As I leave the darkness behind I pray to You Lord, for Your Guiding Light will see me through. I once walked within the shadows with no one to govern me, I did as I pleased, I thought I walked unseen, but I was wrong, for Your Scripture says: “The Eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3) Lord with Your Guiding Light leading the way I no longer walk within the shadows as I once did, I walk in faith now, I am on my way. From my darkness to Your Light, my faithful journey, many bumps in the road lie ahead, I may stumble and I may fall, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) My repentance, Your Forgivenesses, my prayers have been answered, my darkness is behind me now. From my darkness to Your Light, my faithful journey, it has begun.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said:
“I am the Light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
