Lord, his tears that fall I hear, they cry out loud, the sound is deafening, I hear them because I care. Lord, he once spoke but he was not heard, no one cared, so he speaks no longer. Lord, I want to wipe his tears, I want to hold him, I want to whisper in his ear and tell him that everything is going to be okay, that it will get better, but I cannot truly say that it will. Lord, my heart aches as I hear his tears cry out loud, a haunting sound that I know all to well, so as I pray for him, I pray for me, for we are one, and we are many. Lord, his tears that fall have something to say, give him a voice, let him be heard by those who choose not to hear him. Lord, he has been through so much, he needs You, he is almost at the end of his rope and the noose tightens daily. Lord, Your Holy Scripture says, “If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:14) Lord, I ask in Your name that You silence his tears that cry out loud, give him a voice to express himself, for he wants to be heard in a world that chooses not to hear him.
