“A FRIEND ONCE ASKED ME”

A friend once asked me……

Friend:

“Dame, I find it strange that as a man you have never entertained the thought of being unfaithful to your wife, how are you going to be faithful to one woman for the rest of your life?”

Me:

“If I wanted to be with multiple women at one time I would of stayed single, but I chose to be married, it is that simple. I take joy coming home to my wife and gazing in her eyes without the look of shame or guilt, and when I say that I love her and her only, I know that my words of truth tell her no lies. I take pride that my name will never be whispered in the ears of others concerning my dealings with another woman, she is my wife, I promised to be true to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, I will love and honor her all the days of my life.”

Friend:

“Dame, I understand what you are saying, but we are men.”

Me:

“And I understand what you are saying, we are men, but with one distinction, I am a man of God.”

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
