“Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13) That is what His scripture tells me, I don’t know, my thoughts tell me other wise. My thoughts, sinful, one-track minded, intentional, hungry they are, they want to feed off of the living. My mind is under siege, my sinful thoughts run rampant, a killing spree, many souls lost. My thoughts, once in a state of bereavement are now full of sin, they are vengeful, they are eager, they are unapologetic and they are guiltless, for they were born from the murders of the ones that I love. My thoughts are thirsty, they need to drink the tears of those responsible. Lord my Bible is near, but You could not be any further, for my thoughts are on those that were taken from me by the hands of another. Lord we have lost many, we are at war with ourselves, all the jealousy, all the hate, all the greed, all the lives taken. My thoughts, mental anarchy, uncontrolled rage, shattered glass everywhere. Lord I pray that You take these unholy thoughts from me, I don’t want to lose You.
