“SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND”

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks it will be opened.”

Mathew 7:7-8

Knock knock……

“I COMMIT”

Before I found the Lord I was committed, but my commitment was not committed to establishing a relationship the Lord, I was committed to the world and its unholy vices. I was committed to blaming others. I was committed to telling untruths. I was committed to starting but not finishing. I was committed to living in the past. I was committed to drunkenness and the reality of the morning after, simply put, I was committed to the world and its non-God fearing ways. I have made a mockery of commitment, I made commitment weak when it is truly powerful. Lord I would like to thank You, for with You now in my life I make these powerful God-fearing commitments to You….

Lord I commit to staying diligent in my pursuit of everlasting life.

Lord I commit to adhere to your scriptures.

Lord I commit myself to you.

“But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.”

Psalms 10:14

Thank You!

“THERE IS NO GOING BACK”

As this cold world has its way with me I think of my mom while sitting in the fetal position, for I want to return to her inner warmth that once comforted me. The coldness that exist within this world today is a daily reminder that I outgrew the comfort that her womb provided, and that there is no going back. But with the Lord now in my life and His guiding scriptures leading the way I will be watchful, I will stand firm in faith, I will act like a man, and I will be strong.

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”

1 Corinthians 16:14

”YOU HAVE SET ME FREE”

Over the past four years I have learned that a persons curiosity may be attracted to the scars that one may have rather than the person that is associated with them. My scars belong to me, they are mine, and I take full ownership of them, for they represent the pain that come from this short life. My scars do not hide, they are not bashful, they are arrogant and conscious of what they represent, for they represent acceptance, patience, endurance, durability, and faith. But I must admit, there are some scars that are not as boastful or arrogant, they stay hidden deep within the confines of the mind, they are the scars that one cannot see, scars unnoticed, camouflaged within the emotional insecurities that can develop mentally from the curiosity of others.

“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows this very well.”

Psalm 139:14

“Lord I thank You for the scars that are of my body, and the emotional security that is of my mind.”

Thank You….

“Dinner Was Just The Appetizer ”

Be careful who you invite over your house for dinner, for there are many that will try to keep their bellies full, by feeding off of you…..

I appeal to you brothers, watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent, as to what is evil.

Romans 16:17-19

“HANDLE WITH CARE”

At 52 years of age I have come to appreciate the internal beauty that is within others rather than the external beauty that is shown outwardly on a daily basis. Although I have an appreciation for external beauty, there are other facets of beauty that interest me as well, for there is a hidden treasure buried beneath. Beauty of the heart is the most alluring and attractive aspect of a person to me, but the heart is fragile, if you are blessed to have someone’s heart, handle with care.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Luke 12:34

Handle with care…..

“FELLOWSHIP”

Lord as we gather on this day of fellowship I would like to thank You for opening our eyes to witness the truth that is within Your scriptures. Lord as we hold hands we are one in spirit encouraging one another and building one another up, and we will continue to do so, for Your scripture says:

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Amen!

“24-7/365”

As I prepare myself for this nights slumber I think of how much I will love you tomorrow, for the love that I have for you is more than pictures accompanied by words, it is so much more. The love that I have for you gives me purpose, it makes me whole, it completes me. I was once all alone in a self-made world full of my sins, but He saved me, He gave me you. These words that I set free to wander will find you, for they have a true story to tell, a story full of my love for you. Many wonder why I express my love for you in this manner, but many know not of my love, for my love is heaven sent. When one thinks one will never find true love one may not be prepared for what may come, but I waited patiently for your arrival, I prayed for you, He blessed me. As I say my last goodbyes to this day I think of you, so I say goodnight my love. In my dreams I will love you through the night, for if one chooses to love you as I do, one must love you, “24-7/365.”

I love you…..
